Winner - GBA 1 Gilgit Election 2020
Amjad Hussain of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) won the Gilgit Baltistan Assembly seat GBLA-1 Gilgit-I in General Election 2020 by securing 11752 votes. Independent candidate Moulana Sultan Rais remained runner-up with 8356 votes. The election was held on 15 November 2020 in which candidates from PPP, PTI, PML-N, PRHP, JUI-F, ITP, PML-Q, MQMP, PAL and independent contestants participated. The constituency GBLA-1 Gilgit is one of the most politically important seats of Gilgit Baltistan.
